The assistant that acts as you
The message box on Home is an agent carrying your own identity — what you can hand it, how you decide what it may touch, and how it works inside your browser.
The box in the middle of Home is not a search bar and not a support chat. It is an agent that carries your identity: the mailbox and calendar you connect to it, so a draft it writes comes from your address and an invite it sends goes out on your calendar. It is yours alone — nobody else in the workspace sees it, and it works only on what you own.
That is the difference between asking a product a question and handing work to someone. You do not have to phrase things for a machine, and you do not have to go and do the last step yourself.
What it is allowed to touch
The row under the box is where you direct it.
- + attaches a file or a screenshot to the request.
- / opens Skills — prewritten playbooks for jobs you repeat, like finding prospects that look like your best customers.
- Sources lists the five places it can reach: Dopia Records (your companies, contacts and deals), Dopia Mail, Dopia Recordings, Web access, and My browser. Each has a switch.
- The model name on the right picks which model answers and how hard it thinks before it does.
Sources is the one worth knowing. The switches are per conversation, and turning one off does not just discourage the assistant — it removes those tools from what it can call on the next reply. Working on something sensitive, switch off what it has no business reading.
Out into your browser
The last source is the one most AI tools do not have. My browser lets the assistant work in the Chrome you are already using, through the Dopia extension.
That matters because of where revenue actually happens: a prospect list, your billing portal, a vendor's dashboard. The assistant works there in the sessions you are already signed into — nothing to configure per site, and no password handed to Dopia. It goes one page at a time and you watch it happen.
The first time it needs the browser in a conversation, an approval card names the site and waits for you. Password fields and other sensitive inputs are stripped out before any page content leaves your browser.
